The Ministry of Environmental Protection released a message on January 23rd that the national environmental protection report management platform received 618,856 environmental protection reports in 2017. At present, 589,094 cases have been completed, and the remaining 29,762 are being processed.

In 2017, the “12369” environmental protection hotline was 409,548, accounting for 66.2%, WeChat reported 129,423, accounting for 20.9%, and online reporting of 98,885, accounting for 12.9%.

From the perspective of reporting pollution types, the reports involving atmospheric and noise pollution accounted for the most, accounting for 56.7% and 34.6% respectively, followed by reports involving water pollution, accounting for 10.7%, and relatively small reports. Solid waste, radiation pollution and ecological damage accounted for 2.0%, 0.8% and 0.4% respectively.

In terms of air pollution, it reflects the most foul odor/odor pollution, accounting for 30.6% of the gas report, followed by the smoke dust and industrial waste gas pollution, accounting for 26.0% and 21.7% of the gas report respectively; noise pollution In terms of construction and industrial noise, it accounted for 49.0% and 26.6% of the noise reports respectively; in terms of water pollution, it reflected the most pollution of industrial wastewater, accounting for 51.1% of the water report.

From the reporting industry, the most concentrated industry is the construction industry, accounting for 31.3%, mainly due to night construction noise, followed by accommodation, catering and entertainment industries, accounting for 19.2% and 12.5%.
