Development and Reform Commission: coal supply is generally abundant but unstable factors remain

The National Development and Reform Commission held a regular press conference on November 15th. Meng Hao, deputy director and spokesperson of the Policy Research Office of the National Development and Reform Commission, said that during the heating season this year, the coal supply capacity is generally sufficient, and the overall balance between supply and demand is guaranteed. of. Some time ago, in response to the shortage of supply in some areas of the coal industry, the National Development and Reform Commission and the relevant departments have strengthened investigations and research, and have taken effective measures to improve the release of high-quality production capacity and further enhance the situation.

Coal transportation capacity. At present, positive changes have taken place in the production, volume and stock of coal. From the perspective of coal production, from January to October, the coal output of enterprises above designated size was 2.85 billion tons, an increase of 130 million tons, an increase of 4.8%. In terms of traffic volume, from January to October, the cumulative volume of railway coal was 1.79 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%. In terms of stocks, as of November 13, Qinhuangdao Port had a coal storage of 6.98 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.9%; the national unified power plant saved 117 million tons of coal, which can be used for 26 days. According to the situation of the National Development and Reform Commission, the power plant saves coal for 15-20 days. It is normal, and it is currently 26 days. It can be said that in this year’s heating season, the coal supply capacity is generally sufficient, and the overall balance between supply and demand is guaranteed. Meng Hao also pointed out that the factors affecting the stable supply of coal still exist. In response to these problems, the next step is to advance the related work from four aspects: First, strengthen daily monitoring, and timely discover and coordinate the outstanding problems that arise in the connection between production and transportation.

The second is to increase the effective supply, and further accelerate the release of high-quality production capacity on the premise of increasing or decreasing the linkage and reducing the replacement. The third is to strengthen transportation security, continue to tap potential, increase capacity, and concentrate on ensuring transportation needs of key ports, key users and key areas. The fourth is to use clean energy, to strengthen the consumption of clean energy, effectively reduce the output of thermal power, and reduce the consumption of coal.
